This project was taken over from a bankruptcy estate.
The curator was unable to pay for the soil remediation.
The property was inhabited by the bankrupt owner who was allowed to continue to live there for a few months until the demolition could take place.
The contamination was historic in nature and consisted of mineral oil and benzene.
The buildings were demolished, thus removing an eyesore from the village centre, and new development could take place on the site.
